Conceptualized, coordinated, and conducted skid tests on wet surfaces in 1985 in order to determine whether or not the coefficient of friction of vehicles sliding across wet surfaces is velocity dependent. A secondary consideration of the experimentation was to determine the reliability of Drag sled testing on wet surfaces. A paper has been written and published by T.A.R.O. as a result of these tests.
Conducted acceleration tests on large trucks in Laplace, Louisiana in 1986 in order to determine the average acceleration factor for vehicles of this type at distances of both 50 feet and 100 feet. The data base for this experiment consists of over 200 truck accelerations. S. A. E. paper # 950136 was written as a result of this testing.
